The staff, I can't say enough about how friendly and helpful they were. When I advised the bartender we had no shower caps in the room he spoke with someone who managed to have the caps there before we got back to the room. My wife who had recent surgery, got sick and I needed to get her home, everyone I spoke with helped in some way to facilitate my departure and to comfort her before we left. And that was just the staff, I havn't mentioned the large room, the seperate bedroom or the great bathroom if I did I'd run out of room. Can't wait to go back.

Hotel is extremely loud. Poor insolation means you hear everything from the neighbor above you and/or around you. We were by the elevator and heard it all night long. Beware - dog friendly property. Patrons' dogs could be heard yelping all day

    Very good

The pool was great although the poolside food and beverage service needs improvement. Great location within walking distance to Oxbow market.

We wish it was more kid friendly. The rooms are great for families but I felt the facility in general was not family focused.

    Fabulous

Very helpful front desk staff and waiting staff in the lounge/cafe. Love the bed.

The water drains very slowly form the room. Almost like it is plugged.

Excellent location for wineries, walking distance to downtown Napa, quiet surroundings, on site restaurants were excellent, across the street from the Napa Wine Train station. Accommodations were nice and a staff member was always available to answer questions or provide recommendations for day trips, wineries and restaurants.

No daily morning paper; room service for breakfast only; no small convience store for purchasing small items such as soda, snacks, etc.

    Superb

The location is fabulous! Right in the middle of downtown Napa. The hotel is brand new and beautiful.

The entrance is crowded due to the fact that every guest is required to valet park. Waiting for your car is frustrating. Many guests were frustrated. There is no self parking whatsoever.

    Location excellent

Value for the money I paid not there. Hotel pricing varied throughout my stay, very irritating.

    Good

We ate at the cafe bar and grill when our bill came they had addded a20.oo gratuity on I asked the server if that was the tip and was told no that is just something we do and we share it with the kitchen staff against my advice my husband added a tip so our 73.00 dinner cost us much more than it should have. Also when our hotel bill came another 20.00 was added for amenities. We have stayed in many hotels across the country and have never been charged for amenities, I think you are not very honest and as such we will nerver stay at your hotel again and will not recommend you to no one bear in mind we stay in the area about once every 2 months and have never had this kind of experience!!

Our room was huge and nicely decorated. We also love a large bathroom with a separate (and deep) soaking tub. The sink area had a nice shelf that allowed for all of our toiletries to be placed within easy reach (mature couples tend to travel with lots of toiletry items.) The stone tile work in the bathroom was very attractive. The valet parking employees were excellent and while we felt awkward having them fetch the car for us twice a day...they were so nice and so customer service oriented that it was a pleasure. (Those valet guys really make an excellent impression and they are fast.)

A few things bothered me so I'll write them down for you here; however, these are minor complaints. 1. The noise from the pool area was (to my ears) deafening. There were some little girls playing in the pool and the constant din of their yelling and screaming (for almost 2 hours) almost drove me mad. (normally I wouldn't care but I believe there is an magnification (or echo) of sound into the area where our room was located. I called the hotel staff twice to beg them to ask the kids to keep it down. There was no change in the noise level. This was from about 8:30 to about 10:15. (I called at about 9:15.) 2. We offered to buy extra coffee packets and were kindly told someone would bring them to our room for free (fantastic). We didn't drink all of the extra coffee and to my dismay, that afternoon, housekeepers took the extra coffee away. Not sure why this bugged me so much, but sometimes, in the morning, it's nice not to have to call someone to ask for more coffee. I called once and had to call a second time for the silliest of reasons (because housekeeping thought I should only have two cups of coffee for two people....I'm sure this is training issue. 3. This last comment is almost embarrassing but I detest florescent light bulbs in the bathroom. Too difficult to put on make-up, shave legs, etc with dim, blue lights. (I get that we have to all do our part and I also greatly appreciated the recycle bins (that I used.). thanks for asking my opinion...overall....a very, very nice hotel....

    Very good

Rooms are nice. Location is good. Overall it's a nice hotel.

The restaurant is not as good as some of it's write ups. It is good not great. It's overpriced, small portions and all hotel service, even the bar is subject to 18% gratuity whether you get good service or not. 18% forced is never a good idea. Walk down to Oxbow Market for good food and better value. Make your choice as to what you should tip.
